Gavin works with clients helping them:
• achieve their desired weight
• changing their body shape
• developing personalized weight loss strategies
• building lean muscle mass and
• developing performance strategies.
The process
1.) Assess and tweak your current diet
We’ll look in depth at the types of food that you are eating, the times of day that you are eating them and when you eat them in relation to your daily activity.
Invariably most clients:
• Don’t eat enough protein
• Don’t eat enough vegetables
• Eat poor quality fats
• Eat too much energy dense foods like pasta, rice and bread and sometimes
• Eat too much fruit (yes too much fruit can hinder your performance)
Making small adjustments in these areas can significantly improve how your body looks without you having to feel that you are denying yourself food or are on a ‘diet’.
2.) Take measurements
We measure your current starting point so we can understand the changes you will be making and to help you set goals. We use skinfold calipers to take these measurements.
3.) Questionnaire
We use a sophisticated questionnaire that highlights areas of nutritional insufficiency we can improve those areas with your diet and in some cases supplementation protocols.
Gavin qualified as a Sports Nutritionist with the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN) having completed his first Degree in Applied Biology at Bath University. He is also an accredited Body Composition testing analyst with ISAK.
