Short Biography

Mark Weir is highly experienced MMA fighter, ranked no. 1 in the country since 1999. Mark Weir is described as being ‘the most experienced active fighter in the U.K’. He competed in the British Cage Rage, Pride Fighting Championships and the UFC.

Mark Weir began his martial arts career in 1984. After he acquired outstanding knowledge of Judo and Boxing, he started training TaeKwon-Do. Possessing an exceptional level of natural talent he instantly began entering competitions, and within only 12 months he was classed as 'one of the best up and coming fighters'. He became the youngest ever World Champion at the age of twenty by beating Master Hee II CHO's No 1 fighter - Philip Amirez (coach to Bart Vale). Being an undefeated world champion in TaeKwon-Do and Kick Boxing tournaments, Mark Weir brought to the UFC his renowned kicking and punching techniques.

Respect for Mark Weir worldwide has grown to such an extent that UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell invited Mark Weir over to the States to train with him and help him.

His greatest strengths lie in his ability to adapt style in any form of hand-to-hand combat given his extreme speed, the power of his hands, and ultimately his respect for the sport.

Mark Weir has developed his unique style over the years, gaining him not only a large international following of students, but also extensive media coverage, including television, newspaper and magazine exposure.

Now he is highly committed to share his knowledge and experience by teaching what he calls ‘Range Fighting’: combining Muay Thai, Boxing, Ju Jitsu and ground fighting.
